He's right, im trying to run CFS3 with a Voodoo 4 in XP with the XP drivers
installed and they wont even work, i have to search for new drivers now but
3DFX went out of buisness and the only thing left is 3rd party drivers which i
also have and the games still doesnt work, If i find a set of working drivers
ill post them up here but if not, its back to the store with my CFS3

    Warning to anyone purchasing CFS3!
Check the microsoft web site and the CFS3 support page.
I have to fast systems running Asus 7700 video cards, 2 different versions
of the card with 2 different drivers.
I ran out to buy this program today, loaded it onto a system and it would
    not run....
The game would not run on either system!
My main system is running the latest Asus 6.31c drivers and my second
system is running the 14.92 drivers.
The game will not even start, it just tells me that it won't even
    try to start.
The support site has listed numerous problem drivers.
It suggests that my 6.31c drivers should be ungraded to the lastest
reference drivers, I did that previously and other programs refused to
work. I have very good performance with the Asus drivers.
My second system, the game says it won't even support this card or
    drivers.

This game is a piece of CRAP!
    What is Microsoft thinking?
    DO NOT BUY THIS SIM!!!

I am going back to my IL2 and CFS2, they both work great.

It's running great on my system with an ATI All-In-Wonder Radeon with 32 Meg of
    memory.

It's running great on my system with an ATI All-In-Wonder Radeon with 32 Meg of
    memory.
That must be nice... I wish I had checked here before going out and buying this
    thing. I run a GeForce 4 /64 Ram, P4 2.4Ghz, 512 K Ram and guess what, it
doesn't run for anything. I use the Detonator 4 drivers and it has a hard time
with them, so I rolled back to the 30's and it works, just stutters ALOT! What
the heck were they thinking? Let me guess this must be a limited release by
    Microsoft.

    I'm running it on a P4 1.5 Geforce 4 Ti4600, 256meg Memory and I have seen no
problems. I'm using the detonator 4 drivers. Looks great even running at
    1024/768.

    I'm running it on a P4 1.7 512k ram machine GForce 2 128. I can get decent
performance if I scale the sliders back to around 50% and don't run over
1024x768 resolution. I like what I've seen so far but I pity anyone trying to
run this thing with the ludicrous "minimum requirements" Let's hope a patch
will grease it up a bit.

Ok, i got the drivers that came with windows XP to work, thats what you have to
use if you have a voodoo card installed, no 3rd party drivers are supported

Mine too.. I feel sorry for you too.. I ran out and bought a Ti4400 last night
to replace me Radeon VE (7000) 32 MB video card (230 bucks). Made no
difference. Sure I could increase the textures but the stuttering.. that DAMN
STUTTERING! what the heck! I love the game.. I just wish when I am strafeing a
V1 rocket site at 2000 feet and get hit with flak and the tail dissapears I can
see my sprial of death in more than 3 frames before I auger in. Oh well.. I
guess we can rest easy seeing that everyone (or ALOT OF PEOPLE) is having the
problem and not just me. I was about to send away money to newegg to drop a new
processor (2.8ghz from 1.4ghz ) in my STILL valid ECS k7S5a and then go to
Bestbuy and but their 512 of DDR2100 for 79 this week (upgrading 256 to 768.
YEAH! ALL THAT MONEY TO RUN A STUPID GAME costing 50 dollars.. wow. I think i
have an addiction. I dont think that would work even if I was to do that. Yeah
like Babbages is going to take back the game. It doesnt work right but still
    cant take it back.
