Untunable ATIS frequencies

I was flying in South Africa and noticed I couldn't tune in the ATIS because the frequency was not tunable by my radio (something like 114?) so, is it possible to change the ATIS or change the radio config to pick up these odd frequencies? Sort of like some NDBs in Russia that start with 9xx.

I found this in a few cases, but I looked closer and found that there were 2 atis frequancies available.

If you're using FSNavigator, you can drag any frequency indicator onto the approriate button on the left side of the interface. This will set untunable frequencies, too.

I found VOR MTN near Baltimore had a freq. that was way off the chart, too. We all decided it must be a typo by MS.

Uhh.. yes sometimes there are two frequncies, not always, no I don't have fsnavigator thanks though.

You can tune those freqs on the NAV radio, though I don't know whether FS supports voice over a VOR. Real world does, however.

Yep Larry, that's what I was going to tell him. However, MSFS does not support voice over VOR's. Kinda sad. I was using the Reality XP avionics and tried to tune in one of those VOR ATIS's in NAV1 while turning up the volume. I heard nothing except the identifying code.

BTW, saw a bunch of J3's, E3's, and Super Cubs this weekend at Sun-N-Fun. The Super Cubs reminded me of your picture.
