engines quit

I noticed that after starting engines, several of my add-on aircraft automatically shut down at low idle. They start back up fine, run a minute or so, then shut down again. At increased throttle they run fine. Adjusting mixture and prop controls makes no difference.

Any ideas to fix the problem?

Hmmm...never seen a FS Aircraft backfire.....do you have enough fuel for the trip?

I presume you are refering to Piston A/C only?

Use Notepad to open each Aircraft cfg.file that you are having trouble with, and make below modifications.


{piston_engine}
power_scalar=1.0

^^^^^^^
max_rpm_mechanical_efficiency_scalar=1.0
idle_rpm_mechanical_efficiency_scalar=1.10
max_rpm_friction_scalar=1.0
idle_rpm_friction_scalar=.90

I had a similar problem with some of my aircraft. Most noted was a 747-400. It turned out to be a problem with the panel I had.
