I previously had an AMD K6-2 450 installed and CFS2 worked fine. A few days ago
I installed an AMD 1000mhz Athlon with a new motherboard. This motherboard has
133 mhz ram rather than the 100 mhz ram on the original board. Since these new
components have been installed I've noticed that the machine guns sound like
someone is hitting the inside of a can. When I fire the guns there is also a
delay of about a second between the sound that I'm getting and the squeeze of
the trigger. Also, the comm voice sounds garbled almost like the words are being
repeated quickly. The music at the opening of the game is fine as is the
dialogue after the music. On the posiive side I've seen my framerate at least
double from what I had originally. Most of the time I'm getting from 71 to 75
fps. The game moves very smoothly. I even have my settings pushed abit. Anyone
have a clue on how this issue can be resolved? Thanks. John.
