Jesse...I read your posting #5096 in which, you were looking for a No CD patch
for CFS2. You intimated that you have one for CFS (the oiginal CFS). I've been
looking everywhere for one. Would you e-mail me a copy? If you haven't gotten
one yet, for CFS2, I have one and would be happy to send you a copy. Best

Jesse, If you look further back in the Forum you can find where to get the CFS2
CD Eliminator. I think it was in http://cfs2.dogfighter.com/, but the files
seems to be offline right now.
There is one and it works great.

Sorry to tell you guys, but Bill Gate's henchmen have run around and scared
most the CFS Websites from allowing the CD-Cracks for download! They allege it
violates the end-user license. I say we should set-up a buddy system to make
this patch available. I have both of them, and wouldnt run my sims without
em'. In fact, CFS2 seems to run better by far then with the original cfs2.exe
file, lol! One can only hope Bill and his Minion don't decide to declare war
on the rest of our add-on library.

P.S. After installing DirectX 8.0 my frame rates shot up from 45-65 to 60-80.

Thanks for the info. Last night I also found a flight sim site that said
MicroHardball Lawers had contacted them and 'requested' that they remove the CD
elimintor file off their site, which they did.
I guess Microsoft doesn't care that I quit buying software long ago, that I had
to put a floppy disk in to get it to run what was already on the hard disk, and
I am doing the same for CD Software.
However, I have their Microsoft Streets which does allow me to run it off my
hard drive without finding a CD to insert to let it work. I guess they
discriminate against Flight Simmers. Next they will want to 'cut off our air
supply'.
Best advice would seem to be for people to put their email address in a message
that they are looking for the CD Eliminator. Then people could send it
offline.

Excellent idea! Anyone who needs the CFS1 or CFS2 CD-crack list your email
address in a message asking for the CD-crack and someone, hehe, will forward
them to you. don't forget to help your fellow simmers when asked, I have never
known a more help[ful community of people anywhere.
