I just got cfs 2 and tried to import a/c from both FS98 and Cfs planes to the
aircraft folder in Cfs 2. I have been doing imports for FS95 and FS98 for about
3 years so I know I am not doing anything stupid, but the a/c should work right
out of the package from the internet or a copied folder from FS98,but alas,it
does not seem to work at all I copied all FS 98 gauges and panels to
appropriate areas but still it does not work.If the is still any one posting on
this forum, considering all the posts I see are from 1998 I would appreciate any
    help!!! Thanks alot.

Generally the cause of a/c not showing up involves the Panel and/or Sound
folders. If one or both are aliased, they must be aliased to an a/c in your
CFS2 Aircraft folder. Try aliasing the two folders as above and see if they
show up. If, as you say, you copied all FS98 gauges and panels, then I'll bet
the Sound is aliased to an FS98 a/c.

Hey,I sort of corrected the problem, sort of.What I did was paste the
entire aircraft file to the desktop and than I opened the folder and drug all
the a/c to the cfs 2 aircraft,I also copied the cfs 2 aircraft folder just in
case something screwy happened. The result was some of the aircraft was visible
in the a/c choices in the menu.Works but not the way microsoft advertised about
importing a/c.Another thing I did was copy all the fs gauges to cfs 2 to ensure
all required gauges are present.I guess the thing to do to ensure some a/c is
to spend hours online downloading files then putting them all in one folder and
mass dragging them to the cfs 2 folder then later going into said folder and
deleting junk folders and b/s lame planes.

Reply if you come up with anything different, good or bad.

After reading the replies I took a close look and found that I am getting rid
of JaBar since I never used most of it. FlightZip works great and I do not have
the problem of planes not showing up. It was not JaBars fault it was mine in
that I moved the planes before I set them active in Jabar.

I found that CFG files for models, sound and even panels were missing so i
replaced and all is fine now.

Thanks to all who helped me see the light said the blind man!!
