Default A couple of Concorde questions

I flew Concorde for the first time last night(Heathrow to Cairo), all was well until landing but we'll gloss over that.

    My questions are: -

    1) Does Concorde have flaps
    2) Do Concorde pilots normally fly direct GPS rather than
airways because I had terrible trouble turning to keep to
    flightplan at Mach2.

    Thanks

Direct GPS routes. From EGLL to KJFK subsonic till about n51latitude w15 longitude dirct to LINND intersection. I don't know where it becomes subsonic again, but I would guess before LINND.

    1) No concorde doesn't have flaps.
    2) Concorde pilots (and any other trans atlantic pilots for that matter) use GPS navigation, (or so I've heard) because it can be quite hard to find a radio navigation thingy out there half way accross the atlantic.
    Hope this helps.

Why did they not put Concorde into fs2k2 when they put it into fs2k
    and
is there anyway you can get it if you dont have fs2k?

    thanks

I believe Concorde was left out from FS2k2 due to licensing
problems, anyhow there is a full Concorde download at Flightsim.com which works well with FS2k2

    Go get it !!

    cheers

Did you go supersonic to Cairo? The reason I ask is because I thought Concorde could only go super over the ocean due to noise restrictions because of the sonic boom.

I have the ITVV videos of the Concorde flying from Heathrow to JFK return which comes on 2 tapes which runs for 5hrs. It was made in 1996 and they used the INS navigation system a sort of predecessor to the FMC which is in use today on modern A/C.
