    Default ATC voice commands

How can I hear the voice of an add-on aircraft for example, I am using a Southwest Airlines 737 but in the "Callsign" selection menu it appears but when the ATC speaks to you, it does not mention the callsing, just the flight number, how can I fix this?

Unfortunately right now you can't. Microsoft did not record voices for Southwest. Maybe with the recent release of the SDK, someone will make a Southwest call but it will not be in the same voices of the people in FS2k2.

im pretty sure there are a few files out there on flightsim.com that will add 300 some airline call signs to the selection menue. it replaces the airlines.cfg file im not sure what the exact file name is on flightsim.com but i just did a search in the files section for atc or try airline call signs etc. one thing to remember is not all airlines use the name of the airline as there call sign ex. America west uses catus....american trans air uses amtram british airways uses speed bird etc. in case you were wondering this web site has most of the worlds airlines and the call signs they use

Microsoft did record the Soutwest wav file but the did not implement it and many others. But guess what, download the voicepak SDK. and gvpdecompile. The gvp is where all the ATC wav files are stored. the southwest file is names something like blablah_158.wav. I just used the "Southwest.wav" and added the proper line in the Phrqses.txt file that is created upon decompile. If you want more info on how to do this email me direct at pjanak@bellatlantic.net

BTW if you are anygood with an audio editor, you can basically "splice" preexisiting ATC words to create new ones. I created Ethiopian, and Austrailian. Its just too easy. But it is tedious becuse if your useing all 10 pilot voices then you need to create a new file for each pilot.

Or you could go to this FAA site and get ALL the worlds airline callsigns.
