I'm not one to say I told you so ,,,BUT,,, way back on message number 3015 I
said the same thing (sort of). I was very happy to se it show up on the shelvs
at Best Buy. I paid for it, raced home, installed it, flew it, trashed it. That
is all I can say about it without getting mad. Like I said before "could be me,
    but I still don't like it".......maxwood.....
    1. The small size planes happen with ANY non-stock CFS planes. Or did. Because
    ...
    2. There's a patch due next week that (supposedly) makes their add-on planes
    appear full-size.
    3. Patch also is supposed to increase frame rates (which are kinda crappy, on
my PII-350,128M RAM, Rage Turbo AGP).

Keep in mind - CFS has an entirely new graphics engine compared to FS98, and
the tools to design scenery at this new level don't really exist yet (and the
ones that do - Abacus's in-house method - obviously haven't had time to be
optimized yet). Airport & ASD create scenery at that ugly FS98 level. Also, MS
has never released info on how to make add-on planes appear full-size; another
thing that Abacus had to figure out on their own.

Yeah, I was annoyed, too. But Abacus monitors the forum over at simcombat.com,
and have answered questions and complaints there. And released patches to
improve their product within 3-4 months of release. Note that MS has not yet
released a patch for CFS (it's been at least 7-8 months since release), nor
info on how to utilize the new features, altho there are many faults and users
& developers would want/need the info. Scaling and multiplayer being probably
    the top 2.

But ... yeah, the planes fly horribly. :-( You'd think Abacus could have done a
    better job there, at least.
I know,,, I did not completely give up on it. I hope the Fixes work because I
would like to make a sneak attack on Pearl Harbor. That place is just sitting
there with all those ships lined up like Ducks in a shooting Galery. and those
airplanes on Ford Island just look like they are looking for trouble. I wonder
    if they have any RADAR??........maxwood............

One of the new objects in PT is a Radar installation, and there are radar
dishes available in the stock CFS objects. SO, yeah, you could add them to a
mission, if Abacus has not already done that.

The real Pearl Harbor radar was on a mountain top, outside the harbor.
