Re: Corrupted cockpit view of downloaded add on aircraft.

Today I have downloaded and installed add on aircraft for mcfs,
Bristol Beaufighter and Yak3.

When in cockpit view with the instrument panel displayed the view through the
panels is black apart from the upper left hand corner which isn't. This means
that I can't fly the plane in this view, pretty useless !

I have downloaded an ME262 add on and this is fine.

Anybody know what the fix is ? (I have checked panel masking setting in the
combatsf.cfg file and it is set to zero).

Go into the panel.cfg file for the aircraft you imported (located in the panel
folder of the aircraft you imported) and change the last line to a higher
figure:

size_y=5000

Eg, change to 5500 or higher. I think it has to do with the positioning of the
gunsight. If you now can't see the gunsight, you can click and drag the panel
down a bit. Hope this helps.

Same problems same planes. You can drag and resize the window flight by flight
by insuring your panel.cfg has the line sizeable=1. I havnt figured out the
correct fix yet. I have tried the other suggestion about changing the last line
to a higher number, but not with consitant success.

I'm keeping at it, keep in touch if you hear anything.

If the view/scenery window is HORIZONTALLY stretched all the way across the
screen, but VERTICALLY too short, then change the last line of the panel.cfg
file to read a high enough value to cover the black areas. The farther you
stretch it, though, the lower the gunsight.

If the scenery window is in a small square box at the upper left of the screen,
then the [window00] entry 'size_mm=' needs to be edited. On the only panel I
found that had this problem, the bitmap for the panel was a 640x480. The
original file had the 'size_mm=1280' line. All I had to do was change the line
to read 'size_mm=1280,960'. Just adding the second value (which is twice the
vertical size of the actual bitmap) fixed it. I'm not 100% sure of the exact
coorelation, but experimenting should fix it..
