Default Landing Lights on fs2000 planes in fs2002

Can anyone help me please, i have installed fs2000 aircraft into fs2002 and i cannot make the landing lights show up on the runway, i have installed the lights into the aircraft.cfg (strobes, nav's and landing lights) but the landing lights just dont show up on the ground, anyone with any ideas?

the landing and taxi lights that shine on the runway have to be installed when the plane is built and fs2000 planes do not have this installed as part of there mdl's.

The nav lights can be added to any plane in it's aircraft.cfg but not the landing or taxi lights.

I beg to differ! Both of these aircraft were built using FSDS for FS2000 and as you can see in the shots the landing light pattern does show up on the runway in FS2002, the beams of light that we could see in FS2000 do not show.

That's true but even if they show on the ground from the spot view you can't see them from the cockpit. How do you fix that?

    Dan,

When aircraft are designed with FSDS, parts are tagged as being for external or internal visiblity. This allows for creating VCs in FS2000. I suppose if one were to duplicate the external parts for the landing lights but tag them as internally visible you might be able to see them from inside the cockpit. I haven't tried this but it might be possible. Louis Sinclair could answer this better than I can. Perhaps when his new version of FSDS comes out I will give it a try. Personally, I am not in to VCs so I don't incorporate them into my designs.

I think it has something to do with if the planes we're designed with GMAX.

I have downloaded add on planes for fs2002 from this web site
    www.aussim.com
and they're taxi and landing lights, light up ground from cockpit view.
