Can anyone help ? I am considering buying CFS but i want to know if my system
will be powerful enought to give me good frame rates? I have a p200 mmx with 64
meg of ram and a viper 330 4meg graphics card. (OK i know that there are a lot
of people who hate this card but i like it and it was a free upgrade when my
matrox mystique died after only 2 weeks) I get very good smooth frame rates in
fs98 but i belive from what has been written on this board that CFS runs slower
than fs98.Would raiseng my ram to 128meg give any real improvement or would
fitting a seccond p200 mmx and going to NT give better results? also can anyone
tell me if CFS supports 3d-now on the amd k6-2?
it sould work fine! my config: P200MMX 64 mb of sdram,s3trio3d based chipset
agp card, Monster3D II w/8mb. i get average about 35 fps. if you wan't a good
but cheap system, get a celeron 300MHS system w/ maybe 128mb of sdram.(very
speedy. my dad's got one and boy is she quick!)also get a monster3d II w/8 or
12mb side-by-side with that viper 330 of yours. 4 mb is nothing!you should get
high framerates.Don't use windowsNT!!! it runs a whole-lot slower than win98!

i doubt cfs supports 3d-now. it only supports direct3d.

A friend has a similar setup with that video card and gets smooth frame rates
most of the time, similar to what he gets in FS98 -- was down to 4 or so (for
me, too, with my 3dfx card) near London.
