Default Re: Aircraft Converter CFS - PLEASE READ!!!

I've failed at each attempt converting aircraft with the CFS converter. Each
time receiving "conversion halted" error message.

When I've gotten this message using the FS98 converter, I've simply created
each aircraft folder (ie: model, texture, etc) under the name of the plane and
put each file manually into its place.

I tried the manual method with CFS, but the aircraft still do not show up
within the game as being available.

I would appreciate someone steering me in the right direction.

    Thanks, RMP.

DON'T RUN THE CFS CONVERTER! *** That puppy is to convert aircraft from CFS
over to FS98. Just do a file copy of your aircraft directly from FS98 into the
\aircraft directory of CFS. Remember to copy your gauge files if you bring a
panel over also or the gauges won't show up.
Hope this helps reduce the confusion some.

I don't know where you got the idea about CSFConv is for converting a/c from
CFS to FS98 but for me it works converting FS5 a/c to CFS with no
problems....just as the converter in FS98 takes a/c from FS5 and converts them
to FS98. Of course if you want other than default sounds and or panels you have
to change the created references to the ones you want to use...

Ken...You're right. It will convert FS5 aircraft. I hadn't really done much
with the thing, since I don't have any FS5 aircraft any more. FS98 ones just
come straight over. I like the aircraft in CFS, but the FS98 ones are better
looking so I didn't see any reason to take them over to FS98. Thanks for the
    info and I stand corrected.
