Terrain mesh

I have imported some Gaiamesh into 2002 and find it excellent.
However whilst experimenting with various other mesh areas-both downloaded and some which I compiled with the SDK, I have discovered that most of these do not display in 2002,although they are fine in FS2000 which I still have on my system.
All my 2002 settings are OK.I have been told that this is an
inexplicable occurence and may be connected with the original DEM resolution.The default mesh and Gaiamesh are fine.
I have also tested all my other mesh in CFS2 and it is perfect.
Has anyone had similar problems?

In the early days of FS2002, I had probelms with add-on mesh terrains not displaying, and as I later discovered, with the default mesh terrains not displaying to their full.

I hit the default button in the Scenery Display section of FS2002 and all the mountains popped out into full 3d. I then reset the sliders to the levels I wanted. I cannot explain it, but everything has worked fine since!
