Re: Windows 98 planes and panel downloads on Windows XP

Up until recently I was running Flight Sim 98 on Windows 98 and had
successfully downloaded and run many aircraft and panel files. They always
worked on both Windows 98 and Windows ME. I recently purchased another
computer with Windows XP and am now running Flight Sim 98 on the new machine.
NOW half of the discs that I saved the downloaded files to will now open at
all. When those that open do open, about quarter of those that do either get
no visual model or they crash the program. PLEASE HELP.

Some are not compatable with XP,and those that are and you are having a no
show with,you want to download a little progrm called model fix,you can get it
here and it will fix the aircraft that can be fixed.

Hi All
I have managed to get Erics 767v7 panel to work unde winxp by replacing the HSI
with the one from the OMR737v4 panel also in the panel cfg i removed all the
main overhead gauges by deleting a single letter on each line ie;
gauge***767ee7.gau to gauge***767e7.gau . then running fs98 laoding the panel
open the over head you will see no gauges, minimise fs98 and add the mising
lettet in the panel.cfg that you removed. close and save chages . go into full
screen. after that it worked!
