Default CH VP Pro thoughts anyone?

I am (still) using my old VP Pro {£25 secondhand about 5 years ago, a bargain in UK terms!} but was wondering if it would be possible to 'enhance the FS2002 experience' by maybe making the yoke more real in operation; has anybody tried removing the centre-ing springs for example, or any other ideas to get a new trick from a very old dog..... As a CH USB Yoke runs out at about $200 in the UK plus postage I await ideas or donations with joy!

If anyone has a surplus CH Yoke pref USB let meknow price including post to the UK...

    Regards

    Jaggy

I have seen, (a long time ago), where someone had removed the springs and replaced them with rubber bands. Supposedly, it made them smoother and with less resistance. Don't know where I saw it, or if it would be worth dismantling the setup just to find out. Personally, I'm going to leave mine alone, rather than take a chance of messing them up totally.

If you are also using the gameport Pro pedals, for about $15 USD, you can have functioning toe brakes in fs2002. Here is a link to a little tutorial to set them up.
