Is there anyway to change the turning radius on my aa-md80? It does not turn sharp enough on the taxiways and i usually have to overrun and come back to the taxiway. Any thoughts?

You can try a couple of things. F11 & F12 are your differential brakes - they'll brake an individual side to help with turns. Or you can try powering one engine over another - but with an MD-80, I don't know how much good that's going to do , I would suspect that would work best on an aircraft with wing mounted engines. Or finally, try not steering the nose gear so hard. If you crank it all the way over, it may be pushing the wheel along the runway if it's at a 90* angle or close to it.
Hope this helps some
Maybe you're taxiing too fast. Try using differential braking to help reduce your turning radius.
LAST EDITED ON Apr-03-02 AT 11:36AM (EDT)[p]You can change the turning radius by editing this line in the contact points section of the aircraft cfg file
point.0=1, -9.20, 0.00, -8.0, 1500, 0, 1.08, 25.0, 1.00, 2.5, 0.9, 7.0, 5.0, 0, 120, 250
were it says 25.0, IM sure this means 25 degrees, change it to
say 60 degrees if IM right you will defiantly see the difference
(back up the cfg file first!)
