    Hi
As I mentioned in a previous message I was having trouble with a couple of
d/l 757-200's and the nose high attitude when landing (or crashing). Does
anyone out there know of a program which will allow me to access the Air.cfg
file, so I can modify this damn trim thing! All advice greatly received.
    Robin
If it is a cfg.. file, wordpad or word should do the trick. If it is the air
file then download FDE or AirEd here at the site. For what its worth I use both
    and ADE98.

    Mutt,
I use ADE98 and I have a few questions that you could maybe answer. ADE98 will
not open the air files of some downloaded aircraft, is there anything I can do
    about it?
Also, one of my favorite downloads, a DHC6 Twin Otter {which as far as I know
does not have spoilers), responds to using the keypad "/". There is no spoiler
indicator on the panel, nor are there any other options (opening doors, etc.)
that appear to use the "/" command. I opened the air file with ADE98 and found
that the "spoilers fitted" option was on, turned it off, and saved the file. I
have found that if I hit "/" there is still a definate negative effect on
flight dynamics. This is a PITA since I have no indication if I have
accidently activated the spoilers (except that it don't fly right).
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks,
    Dave C.

MMMMmmmmmmmmmmm! Well Dave,I use all three programs. AirEd,FDE and
ADE98. You might want to download FDE and the using it open that air file and
scroll down till you see the spoiler line and see if it is actually
disabled, then scroll down till you see the autospoiler setting and turn it off
and see if per change they set up the air file with spoilerons, and disable them
too. Then scroll down till you see under the main dynamics the drag setting for
thee spoilers and set it ot 0.0 . Then scroll down till you see the spoiler
pitch setting and zero it out. You now should not have any spoilers whatsoever
nor and effect.Do all this using FDE as sometimes ADE98 is not to reliable in
disabling items, this is why I use all three. Each one has some features the
others don't have,so with all three I can do just about anything. Let me know
    how you come out.

Thanks for your reply...ask the expert and you get an expert answer! I'll
download the other editors while I'm stranded during tomorrow's predicted
snowstorm (I'm in central Virginia, USA}. Just got home from the ritual Friday
after-work steinhoist and I got some serious flying to do. I'll let you know
    how the fix worked.
    Thanks,
    Dave C.
