    Hello, Mutt,
Thanks for the plug for the Douglas World Traveler.
I'm in the process of swapping my old crates over to FS2002 and she's high
on the list. I'm curious to see that water splash. -- Dennis S, FSEngEd@aol.com

Water proof the plugs and intake(LOL) and make sure ya got no holes in them
floats, she's a big girl and is gonna need a good size pond to get into the blue
from. Great weekend putt putt though,i use it when i wanna blow the stink off
me and enjoy the view, its a toss up betwixt the Stearman and the Traveler.

    Hi Mutt!

Hope your toes are a lot better now. Have been away from the forum for a while
and today I was just browsing through some old posts and that's how I came
across your encounter with the deco piece. Also caught a bit of the heat about
the membership saga. Hope all are well here.

Dennis - I look forward to your fs2002 version, I always enjoy your crafts. I
just got 2002 a couple of days back and actually like it. It runs much, much
better than 2000. I may be heading over to 2002 but fs98 would still be my
pet. I still have got more than 1GB of fs98 sceneries that I have downloaded
    but haven't tried yet!

It's belated but - Happy New Year to Mutt, Dennis, Christopher, Alastair,
Jamie, Jess and everyone else on this forum.

Happy New Year to you, "Izzy"...

I, too got 2002 a couple weeks ago, and am awed by it's showiness!
Unfortunately, the show is over when it comes time to get off the ground, as
I'm only running a PII 350, but if I lower the graphics, etc, I get rates in
the 20's with decently smooth transitions, but at high res, I jump around like
a poorly made animation... Well, I have seen the future, unfortunately, it
still needs a new machine to run it! so I still am running good 'ol 98, and
suppose that'll be the case for a while. Too much time and effort invested in
it to drop it anyway, so we run a couple of 'em. It's a free country, right?
Besides, 2002 has nothing that goes high n fast other than a concorde, mebbe a
    couple fighters, but in 98......
    Be well,

    Hi !

And a very Happy New Year to you too ! I took the plunge and ordered my new PC
a couple of days ago, so look forward to installing FS2002 and all the planes I
can't run on FS98 (DF737, Grabowski ERJ-145, FSD Commander and Cub, updated R4D
etc) and enjoy some VFR in Don's Alaska !

Not that I intend to abandon FS98 and FSGW just yet !

    Best wishes,

    Hi Mav,

I thought that the "Izzy" might have been forgoteen as me being AWOL. But I
    guess not.....I feel honoured.

You're right about the hot rods though, I will have to see if I can get any of
Mutt's birds (!!!) to work in FS2002, even without the panel. It might give
    the fs2002 engine a shock!!!

    Hi Alastair,

Like you, I'm far from done with FS98. I will always have a soft spot for it
as fs98 really got me into flight simming. I also have built up a huge
collection of add ons. Besides there are still lots of things I have not done
yet......something called work and family keeps getting on the way!!!

If you've ordered a new machine then you're going to have a wonderful time with
it. I get quite acceptable performance even with my old system (PIII 550, 128M
RAM, 16MB video card). The performance is about 4-8 times better than fs2000.
I'm really impressed with FS2002, although when I bought it I thought that it
would go the way of fs2002, cfs1 and cfs2. Enough about that before some one
hits me over the head for talking so much about the newone.

    Long live FS98!!!!!!!

    cheers)Aziz

    Hi Alastair!

Becareful with FS98 on your new machine! The sim engine might have a heart
attack to keep up with the system....LOL!!!

That machine is really good spec and you should have a blast...I'm jealous. I
have to wait a few more months to get a similar spec machine:0(

I would be interested to know how the FS runs on the AMD chip. I do not want
to scare you but I have heard in the grape vine that FS runs best on Intel.
However that AMD of yours is equivalent to Intel P4 2+GHz, so most probably any
differences of the past would most probably would not matter due to the sheer
speed. I know that the Iiyama is a really good monitor.
