<<SEND AN E-MAIL BIRTHDAY MESSAGE FOR MIGHTY MEIGS FIELD & PASS IT ON
Thursday, December 10, 1998 marks the 50th anniversary of the opening of Meigs Field, Chicago's embattled "Little Airport By the Lake".
The Friends of Meigs Field have planned a celebration for that evening, and we would like to ask your help in making it a success.
We are collecting e-mail well wishes from aviation supporters around the world. Would you please help in two ways:
1) Send a message of support for Meigs Field's 50th anniversary. Even if you've only flown here on Microsoft's Flight Simulator or in your fantasies, we want to hear from you.
Send an e-mail to:
congrats@friendsofmeigs.org
2) Forward this message to anyone you know who is an aviation enthusiast or otherwise supports preserving Meigs Field, one of the world's best-known general aviation airports. Post it on newsgroups, bulletin boards, websites, etc.
We want to see how many responses of support we can generate. The more the support, the stronger our arguments for preserving the airport.
