    Default Force feedback? Advice, please.

I,ve just bought a new computer a now I also have to get a better joystick. Is it worth the money a force feedback in MFS2002 Pro? What does it offer? Any other way, which different normal joystick should I buy? I guess itīs not a new question, but I donīt have the answer.

Carter, you will probably get a lot of opinions on this question. None will be right; none will be wrong. This is a personal choice matter.

I'll start. I don't have FF on my flight sim computer as I don't think it would add much to the experience. I use a Saitek X36 joystick and throttle combination with CH Pro pedals and enjoy it very much. I'ts been a solid, troublefree set up for the past three or more years. I chose a stick since I tend to fly helicopters, fighters, and Cubs as much as 172s or etc. I rarely fly heavy stuff. If you fly more craft with 'wheel' controls, then a CH yoke would be more appropriate.

I do use a Logitech Momo FF steering wheel on my racing computer. There, however, the car's wheels are in contact with the ground 100% of the time, or so we hope. You have a constant feedback occurring, so I find FF useful there.

Again, others who use FF in aircraft will surely offer their opinions. Make the best choice you can and enjoy.
