Wellllllllllll now i'm all fired up for some more flying, but my tailwheel
linkages are all still reversed....i sure wish i could find Flightshop
    somewhere.

Oh the great white whale.......fsfs....the adventure begins.....
it will be a whale hunt but you can find it on the swap net....

Arent there ANY taildragger FS planes that when i stomp right rudder and the
rudder deflects right, the TAILWHEEL deflects right too? I'm tired of using up
wingtips and marker lights, and wiping out taxiway lights and maingear tires in
    some really SPECTACULAR groundloops...hahahahaha

    Hello, Vern,
If a taildragger fails to steer or, worse yet, steers in reverse, it's
likely a problem of the plane's design, not the sim. There are places in its
flight dynamics that define its ground behavior as well.
There are several flight dynamical editors that allow fixing this. I've not
fooled with one of them, AirEd, but maybe someone else will comment. With
FSFS.FS5.1, it was handling by "Scrape" values in its flight dynamics
definition. In the newer AF99, there's a separate editor, some of whose entries
are "Taildragger?" and "Steerable?" and various "Scrape" values. Fooling with
these will likely correct the reversed-steering problem.

    well vern
    I just down loaded a Beechcraft D-18E (bd18 eca.zip) for fs98
this plane is a great tail dragger....seeing i use some real short grass
strips in the new england area i need a tail dragger that turns with rudder..
the catch is its fs98....seeing i run both fs5 and 98 i can get away with
    this....
your going to have to hunt in the grave yard of downloads for a good plane...

    Hello, (Again), Vern,
I've just reread your query about properly steering taildraggers. Immodest
that it may seem, I recommend any of mine (do a search on my name: Simanaitis).
I tend to do old crates, a lot of them are taildraggers, and all steer properly
(to one extent and another). All the ones posted in the flightsim.com library
are FS5.1/FSFS. One you might find fun to fly is crusader.zip. -- Dennis
