Hi Folks!

I have a great problem with a new flaps-sound for fs5.1.

I get the wonderful flaps-sound for jets from Peter Astacio (flpsnd.zip) but I
couldn't figure out how to install this new sound since it seems to me that the
original flaps-sound of fs 5.1 is locked into the program and couldn't be
overwrited with a new one.

PLEASE HELP ME!!

Hiya Frank,

U got it, unfortunately the flaps sound in FS 5.1 (and lower for that matter)
is locked into the program. The flaps (and stall/marker beacon) sounds are
generated by the OPL FM music synthesis chip on your soundcard and are not
digital. Eons ago I tried writing an AAF adventure file for FS4 to use digital
sounds for the flaps, but the closest thing that I could come to was something
that kept looping over and over until you moved the flaps to another position
(G). I figure that it would be the same problem with an FSFS adventure too.
