That "Can't find MakeMDL" jazz is a generic error message. Go to your
destination folder (the aircraft's model folder, likely) and use Notepad to
open its .log file. It'll describe (often cryptically) the error(s) that caused
the failure to compile.
Post the gist of the error log here and likely someone has experienced it
and knows a fix.
For instance, the most common one involves "co-located vertices." This is
when (on purpose or otherwise...) you move one vertex atop another. There's an
easy fix: Highlight all the vertices in your object and perform a Weld
operation (see the righthand stack's Edit Geometry). This identifies any
vertices within the designated distance and "welds" them together into a single
(legal) vertex.
