Hi

I am looking at creating some photo scenery for FS9 but need some step by step
advice of how to do this. Can anyone recommend a a source of information
on this subject? I have tried the Godzone tuturial but that seems to skip over
a lot of fine detail which is important for a beginner.

Hi Peter
I am a retired individual in South Africa who has recently started learning how
to create scenery using AFCAD, GMax and the Microsoft SDKs.I am thus no expert
but can tell you my findings so far.
You need good aerial or satellite images of the area you wish to cover.I have
found quite good ones on Terraserver.The MS Custom Terrain Textures SDK then
gives you a stepwise process which, after the inevitable beginner errors,
become quite easy to do and very satisfying when you see the results in the
sim.
There are many people on this forum far more competent than I but perhaps that
will get you started (the SDK's are obtained from MS's games website) and as I
have very recently been going up the learning curve, I may be able to answer
'silly' questions(which of course are not silly) as I probably will have
recently made the mistakes .
