Sound Loss

I bought a new MSI 7N420 Pro Motherboard (with a 1700+ XP AMD chip) and with the Nvidia Chipset for sound - sounds great. But, in FLight sim, after no certain amount of time (usually more then 30 minutes), the sound cuts out. When I exit, even the sound in windows is also gone requiring a reboot. I am using Windows ME for the OS. Any Ideas?

look for an irq share on the internal sound card and an add on card.
if found, identify the card in question - and move it to another slot in the pc.

I have no extra cards in the system - it came with everything built in (Ethernet, Video, sound...) - You name it. Already checked for conflicts, though, in control panel - system. Everything is ok.
