I had the same typeof thing happen. Just reinstall and let it copy all the files back to where they belong and if you don't uninstal it first it should work....good luck....if that doesn't work then you will have to leave a very detailed account of what happened just knowing that some kind of freeware was downloaded and applied is not enough to really say what to do....????

Check your fs2002/aircraft folder for the following three files:
airlines.cfg
default.CDP
default.dp
Check your fs2002/scenedb/ATC/scenery folder for traffic.bgl.
If any of these files are missing, retrieve from your CDs.

thanks for your help, i had the aircraft.cfg, but i didnt have the default.cdp, the default.dp, or the traffic.bgl
I am missing the default.CDP file which leads to the same problem. I've tried to find it in the disks but can't. Any ideas where I can look?
Appreciate your help.
Just reinstall it it will replace all the files but will not affect any add-ons you might have aquired....at least on mine it didn't...I bet if you wait a little though someone will know how to do it in a less involved way.....
