it is not the fault of either but due to something that wiped some goodies off
my hard drive.Is this fixable? or perhaps this is not the correct forum for

Usually his message points to the fact that a so called "library object"
(section 10 object) is missing. Libraries contain often repeated object code
and are used by Microsoft extensively, but also in addon sceneries. Try to
decactivate all your addon scenery. If then the error message disappears,
the problem is due to one of your addon sceneries. I have read that sometimes
FS2002 has a strange behaviour with libraries and displays error messages
although the files are there. Library files should be only in the main
FS2K2\scenery folder or in a \scenery-subfolder of \scenedb. Maybe the problem
goes if you install the addon to \scenedb instead to the main \scenery
