Dumb questions, but at this point I have to ask em.
ASD 2.1..is there an upgrade and are the capable for FS2002? If not, how are
you guy/gals developing scenery and with static moving aircraft.
FS Action is not there yet. Then what..
Basically, what do I need to buy that I dont have allready.
I live in Mount Vernon Washington State..south of Bellingham. This area is
great for scenery design if you guys/gals dont know of it. The islands here
are killer, but undone. Of course seattle and everett are good, but needs moreHey Curbs, another Washington developer! I live in Edmonds, and right you arelocal traffic. I want to add some P3's at whidbey with some local
traffic..maybe some EA-6b's now.
Can somebody put me on the right track? Id appreciate it.
Thanks
Curbs
about the San Juans. Let me know if you'd consider teaming up sometime. I'm
still converting my fs2000 airports over, but I'm unable to travel as much as I
used to so I hesitate to do an airport without good photos of the buildings.
As far as tools, ASD2.1 is just an assembler. Most of its code works fine.
The issue is at ground level. I'd suggest you get the fs2000 sdk tools,
resample.exe, tmf2bgl.exe...these are free. then read up on terrain work for
fs2k2 (avsim TB forum during Nov, Dec, and Jan...much was documented on how to
exploit resample.exe to do more than Msoft ever told us!)
Then, from what I've heard, the best bet would be to buy Misho Katulics
Terrabuilder, the new version will give you a friendly interface to make the
fs2002 terrain occur.....course u can do it without cost if you understand the
TB forum ideas as we worked em....
Now you'll find that ASD2.1 can be used for placing your macros, and laying
down a runway...taxiways....exclude files...but that's about it.
I'm sure there will be no upgrade to ASD...I could be wrong..just a guess.
Cheers,
