Hi VikkiThanks & take care, Vikki.
Regarding our recent discussion about problems with my elevated helipads being
erratic in FS2002, I accidently stumbled onto the problem I was having. The
problem was solved simply by doing a software disconnect, reconnect, &
recalibrate, from the Windows Control Panel for my CH Flightstick Pro joystick.
It was acting like the "poll with interrupts enabled" setting was on, although
the box was not checked for it to be turned on.
After re-enabling and recalibrating it, I no longer have the bouncing and
"falling through the roof". The elevated helipads are rock solid now.
I had even gone so far as to make a 3 layer hard surface macro, each
progressively 1 meter below the main roof surface. That method kept the
chopper from falling (completely) through the roof but obviously, it was a very
poor "band-aid" type fix because it looked terrible in the scenery to see the
violent bouncing around when it occurred (even with the engine shut down).
