Hi !
first post in this forum
as a real Airline Pilot, I just want to bring some things I noticed in the Full
Flignt Simulators used in Airlines (Air France in my case).Although the
sceneries designed in FSS's image generators are very poor, compared to PCs
simulators, there are some hints , often simple, that give a big part of
realism in what you have in front of the eyes. Exemple : the white runway
markings. In PC flight sims, they are always white, pure white ... wich is
never the case in reality because of dirtiness, mainly due to tires. Some
designers add another texture over the main runway texture to produce a more
realistic effect. In professional sims, i noticed that runway markings are
white, but with a bit of transparancy, so that the basic runway texture can be
seen trough and produce a "not that clean" effect on marking. It although
reduce the feeling that markings are just put over the runway. Same procedure
for the taxiway yellow lines.
So my question : is it possible to do the same with MSFS ? does it make the
framerate drop ?
bye !
