FS2004 scenery is missing many bridges that were included in FS2002. Most of my
flights take place along the East coast of the USA. I usually fly VFR and look
for the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel as a reference to Norfolk International or
NAS Oceana airports. I do not know how to design scenery or anything else for
that matter. Surely most of you are aware of this little problem. Have you
found a site where I can download the missing scenery?

I have desighed a new airport building using FS design Studio ver 3 and wish to
attach it to an already existing airport BGL.
I have tried the object placer but can't get it to appear as an object.
Has anyone got any Idea how I should proceed as I have limited experience with
    these products?

I am trying to add a helipad to some scenery on FS2004. Can anyone help me on
    how to do this?
A helipad can easily be added through use of Lee Swordy's Afcad2 program. You
get your choice of things like helipad size, texture and whether you want a
square or circle border or marked as medical/medivac. This is perhaps the
easiest and simplest way to do this. Hope that helps you...Barry

May I put a working VOR or an ILS in an airport to practice Instruments
    approach procedures?

The Kodak logo? LOL, that works just fine, Its all these radio transmission
    towers that I'm working on.
I guess I am gonna get as close as I can get using the SDL editor, in the
editor you just combine a timer with the time of day command 28C 6 and use that
in FSDS with a "Light.Beacon" labeled part.

I really wanted use of the normal Beacon on and off with a Dusk/dawn/night
switch but the normal beacon on/off is not available to the SDL editor.

As I mention before, when FSDS writes a scasm code that includes the dummy
polygons for transparent texture display at Dusk/dawn, it just doesn't compile
right, so I have to Compile right from with-in FSDS, then all's fine. SO I cant
really go in and modify scasm code, it all needs to be done in FSDS.

I hope the next version allows us to the option of compound variables
    like:
    282 -3256 and 28C 6

    Hope someone is "listening".

    Thanks again

NOTE: You must then delete the "Plane in Action" function in Apt26. The newly
created .bgl must be in the same scenery directory as the scenery you're
working-on. It now becomes a "stand-alone" dynamic scenery file.

To test this I made a basic airfield with one runway, a taxiway and a few
objects (and a flatten and exclude), then compiled it and had a look at the
output. All was fine flying around the airfield but in slew mode I got a lockup
within seconds. I'll add that this is the first I have had in FS2002.

Have any designers come across any problems with the current programs in which
they have found a lockup occurring? The problem may be a specific macro or a
flatten or exclude call. I am hoping this isn't the case - but I ask so that we
may be able to exclude scenery from the list of possibilities.

As a side issue I've found that some navaid excludes work well outside their
specified range. ILS's have stopped working some 250nm away from the airport
with the exclude file in it. Anyone else spotted this?

With the wealth of add-on scenery available for FS2k, I would think that you
would be able to find an up-to-date replacement for your original FS98 scenery.

    Good luck
