What's the best way to increase the intensity of runway lights so they're easier to see from a distance?

Use AFCAD or FSX Planner and change the runway lighting intensity. Many airports are set to low, which does make them more difficult to make out from more than 3-4 miles away. I usually just reset them according to whatever the correct info in my AF/D says. Most municipal airports with any kind of instrument approaches use medium intensity lights. High intensity lighting is usually only found at airports with category 2/3 precision approaches or where surrounding lights may make distinguishing the airport lighting difficult.
