    I used DBS Walk & Follow for FS9. I don't have it now but if I log in on their site. I should be able to re-download it for use with FS9 again. As a matter of fact i'm going to do that right now. I'll purchase FS9 again, that will be tomorrow, man can't wait to get back in the air =)

    Fixed Camera:
    directly from the SDK; you may add to a saved flight OR to the aircraft that you always fly from the same location... Multiple cameras in saved flight probably best.

    Sample at Rochester NY (one of four from SDK)

    [CameraDefinition.001]
    Title = Fixed Camera 1
    Guid = {835BFC1C-1A03-994A-A176-49318FEB094E}
    Description = Placeholder description
    Origin = Fixed
    InstancedBased = No
    SnapPbhAdjust = None
    PanPbhAdjust = Swivel
    Track = Track // or optionally "None"
    ShowAxis = No
    AllowZoom = Yes
    InitialZoom = 4.0
    SmoothZoomTime = 1.0
    ShowWeather = Yes
    XyzAdjust = FALSE
    Transition = Yes
    ShowLensFlare=FALSE
    Category = Custom
    FixedLatitude=N43.103570
    FixedLongitude=W77.690494
    FixedAltitude=230
    InitialPbh=0, 0, 0

    If you want to scan around you may set Track=None and set a HeadingPanRate to suit your preferences.

    Just go to the location of choice and set the Values; Elevation is METERS MSL, but you can set the AC info lines to show metric and read your needed altitude directly - no need to convert. If the camera is set at below ground level altitude, it will be at ground level anyway.

    Yes, it can be made to move but that's quite tricky to control.

    These are two movies I made by creating new views in a saved flight. It wasn't terribly difficult, but it did take some understanding of the way that the camera system in FSX works. A little bit of reading of the SDK will get you pretty far in regards to what you want to do.

    It is really a pain compared to Active Camera. I miss that program a lot!

    There is also the EZ Walk program that is kind of simmilar to Active Camera. Although I've had no problems with it and still use it, some people have had issues with it.
    I've read that the author of EZ Walk is going to add a track/follow more to it. Currently it does not do that.

    If anyone knows better ways, I'd like to know them too....lol

    Oh I love you igfly.com, after over 1 year you still have my purchase data. Thats what I call customer service. Once I get FS9 back a simple install and I have DBS Walk & Follow again, gotta love it, love it!

    I used a fixed camera in a saved flight as described by llivaudais. I just copy and pasted into a saved flight and adjusted the lat & lon and height to what I needed.

    Many thanks to both 'rob702' and 'llivaudais' for your input. I liked your videos Rob702. Did you use Adobe Premier or another video editor?

    Well this definitely gives me something to work with - though I can see how it will be a bit of a pain. I can tell there's going to be a lot of trial and error to position the camera in the right spot. I will go to work with what I have and continue to hope for a great add-on like Active Camera to come along.

    Thanks again

    As Rob said "If anyone knows better ways, I'd like to know them too" so don't be shy about posting some tips to add to these if you have some.
