Default FSX Landing Lights and Taxi Lights

    Hi everyone,

I have been using FS9 for the last 4 years and have decided to move to FSX (SP1). My computer was getting old and the performance was slowing down considerably.

I have purchased a new DELL XPS420 with Vista Home Premimum. I have a NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT video card. 1024x768 with 32 bit.

I have installed Ultimate Traffic for FSX.

The problems that I am having are related to the aircraft display:
1.) On the default and downloaded repaints the 737-700 and Airbus, the Taxi Lights will not work. Landing Lights will work. The logo lights will not work.
2.) On the default and downloaded repaints the CRJ-700, the Taxi Lights will not work. Landing Lights will work. The logo lights will work.
3.) I have installed a DASH8-300, all the lights will work, however will not Illuminate the runway or taxiway.

I have toggled on the Landings lights will Illuminate taxiway and runways.

I have the Graphics, Scenery and weather all at 100%, the traffic is custom due to FSX Ultimate Traffic.

    Any help would be appreciated,

    Joe

These are known issues since FSX's release. A bug that hasn't and won't be fixed.SP2 was supposed to correct this in the 737, but didn't. Sorry, but it's something we FSX users have to deal with in the meantime..

Thanks, I am glad to know that it wasn't me and my settings.

I hope they fix this soon. If they can make the jetways move, I am sure they can fix this!!

Thanks. I was wondering the same thing. For a while I thought it was something I was doing...

I know one must use taxi and landing lights, but they bleach out the markings so I might as well be in the dark anyway. Can't win for losing.

No fixes on the horizon, unless a private party decides to make one..
