    Default Cockpit sound volume/fixed exterior views

    Does anyone know how to permanently change the exterior fixed views? I modified them on one of the mustangs to get the angles I wanted (I know how to move in and out, up and down, etc.) however, when I reloaded that specific aircraft, the fixed exterior views had defaulted back to the original views.

    Also, I have the IRIS T-6 Texan, does anyone know how to turn up the interior cockpit sound?

    Thanks

    Sounds like it's time to go into the sound settings dialog and turn up the cabin portion, turn down the others and then turn up the speakers a little. ..

    cameras and views:
    Adjusting with controls while flying an aircraft causes no permanent changes and a change of aircraft resets all cameras. All camera settings are saved with a saved flight so that should not be what you're describing. To adjust the cameras of a specific aircraft permanently, you need to recode the position and orientation parameters in the individual camera definitions of the aircraft config file. Specifically these lines (C172 tail camera)

    InitialXyz = 0, 1.9, -5.75
    InitialPbh = 11, 0, 0

    First, understand that the XYZ distances are in meters, and in LATERAL, VERTICAL, LONGITUDINAL order, i.e. side-to-side, top-to-bottom, forward-rearward.

    so InitialXyz = -3.0, 2.0, -32 would place a camera 3 meters to the left of center, 2 meters above center and 32 meters to the rear of center.

    InitialPbh is starting PITCH, BANK, HEADING in degrees, where +pitch is nose down, +bank to the right and Heading is (+/- 180) positive to the right from the nose of the aircraft. If I had a camera located above and behind my left shoulder the camera would point down and to the right to view me so InitialPbh = 30, 0, 45 (down 30° and 45° to the right) would be a reasonable starting place.

    You can also look at the camera settings in a saved flight, find the section that documents the specific camera of interest and combine the saved values found there TO the camera definition and be pretty dang close.

    Example: saved flight with C172 shows how the tail camera was DIFFERENT than the initial values...

    Translation=0, 0, 0
    Rotation=-7.440865995, 0, 0

    This documents that I did not MOVE the camera from its starting location but that I did pan it upward 7.44°. If I add this value to the InitialPbh, I would thereby define the saved location as a new 'initialPbh' and when I load that AC next time I would find the camera right where I left it.

    Thanks Lloyd, I appreciate the very detailed info for the camera views. I think I'll have to get on IRIS's forums, because I've looked through the sound files and haven't found what I'm looking for.
