Thread: QF-86E Drone

    Smile QF-86E Drone

This is a fairly lesser known variant of the F-86 Sabre. They were used for towing targets and as true drone A/C during the 1980's. A civilian company, Flight Systems Incorporated out of Mojave, CA used several of these former RCAF aircraft in such roles.

Neat new repaint by Jens Ole Kjolberg available at www.sim-outhouse.com for Kirk Ollson's FS9 Sabre Jet. Operating out of Wake Island here.

    Cheers! Mike

The Sabre is the coolest early jet, maybe of all time. I have always dug it.

I like your line up on the ramp. Great shots.

Looks very nice. Which addon scenery did you have in there if any?

Although I prefer this paint scheme better:

That's a very cool repaint, I like how you can still see the remains of the original markings underneath.

    Thumbs up

The scenery is For FS9 by John Strinstrom - get it at Avsim or Flightsim - more of my Wake Island pics can be viewed here ... http://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/showthread.php?t=159617

Guys, I really love how unique this repaint is - gives this bird a whole lot of character.

Thanks for all of your replies! Mike
