I've just had a very interesting discussion in another forum on this site about selecting a different runway at KLBB Lubbock Tx. The problem was that I could never get ATC to give me any other runway except 17R or 17L. I could change the wind direction to be coming from 360 and ATC would still have me taxi to 17. A very nice gentlemen on the other forum explained to me that the only way to get runway 35 was to set the wind speed to 24 Kts or greater. It gets even worse, if I want runway 8/26 the wind has to be 36 kts or greater. This seems really idiotic to me, there isn't going to be any GA planes moving with that kind of wind.
My question is, where can this setting be changed. I know that it has to be one of the SDKs but I'm not sure which one. I have read in the TrafficToolbox SDK that it uses some of this information but then I get to the bottom of the document and it states that, "The only safe customizations to make to the airport list are to remove airports, and to remove particular parking spots from within an airport. Flight Simulator does not use this list to create airport data, so the adding or changing of data will result in some strange and probably unwanted behavior." It doesn't say anything about what FS does use to create this type of airport data.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?
