Black aircraft in World of AI

Because I'm not a fan of Soarbit, I've installed a number of WOAI packages. Aside from the fact that they disable all GA, I've been pretty happy with them. However, I find that the WOAI planes are black until you get within a few hundred feet of them, then the liveries snap into view. Does anyone have a fsx.cfg (or other *.cfg) entry fix for this? The problem seems worst in the 2D cockpit view.

Same thing with Ultimate traffic. Must be an fsx thing.

I seem to remember this same problem posted here awhile ago. I believe try turning down the global resolution a tad below "max" (?)
