    Tim,

Can you please shed some light on the differences between REX and FEX ?

    Thanks

Sure Tony, the main difference is completely different artistic style. The interpretation of the real-world, whether it's how light shines on clouds, or how volumetric a cloud is, it's all depicted way differently than FEX. Just look at the preview pack on our website to understand this. REX consists of many areas not offered in the other package, including sun & moons, aircraft & ground lighting, lightning & flare, roads & rails, ALL airport environments including concrete and asphalt runways (including snow & ice versions), concrete & asphalt taxiways, runway marks, bump mapping, airport signage, airport clutter, taxiway marks & oil stains. All of our textures are in hi-definition format including all our water & coral pattern sets and cloud sets. EVERY sky texture, whether it's dawn, day or dusk are created from real-world photography, not contrived 'blends' of colors. This makes them look ultra-realistic. Again, see our screenshots. Everything we are doing we're making sure it's already dx10 compliant, so no worries there.

Just check out the site for any other details.. it's all there.

    Regards,
    Tim

    Tim,

Thanks for taking the time to elaborate on REX. It sure looks amazing from the various screenshots. In a way, I'm kinda bummed I spent the money on AFX, AFG and FEX, because now it looks like I will have yet another package to produce these textures. Look forward to the release....any ideas on how much this will cost?

    Take care
