Is the update for SDK in the acceleration folder named SP1a? And how can I use the object placement tool to put a carrier in lake michigan. I can't even find the object placement tool.

The SDK is SP2. SP1a was the previous SDK, which is included on the Acceleration disk in case it's needed.

Here's my question. Is it possible to set up free flight mode to start parked on one of these carriers? I'd like to be able to do a carrier takeoff and take a video/pictures of it...

There is probably a much easier way to do this but here is how I did it.

Not being very good at landing the F-18A, I wanted to insure that I would get an aircraft onto the deck and stopped on the first try. If you can fly a helicopter, land that onto the deck. Then change the aircraft by using Select Aircraft to the F-18A. Save the flight and you are ready to go on deck.

The best solution for placeable and fully functional aircraft carriers is a freebie download aicar2r2.zip by Lamont Clark. This is the latest version and has been updated for Acceleration.

It will place fully functional aircraft carriers at any location at any time, in addition to various fleet combinations.

Although the carrier and/or fleet will disappear each time you exit FSX or Acceleration, you can still save your selected aircraft, carrier, and location in Free Flight. When you open the Saved flight, you will find your aircraft sitting over an empty ocean. Simply selected the dropdown menu (Shift + J), then select the carrier you saved and it will appear below the aircraft ready to go.

Hope this is what you were looking for.
