    Default violent FF when taxiing

How do I turn down ff when taxiing? some of my smaller planes cause severe wrist injuries trying to hold the joystick central!
I would like a gentle rumble, not an arm-wrestle with a mechanical gorilla.

It sounds like FF is not configured properly.
Look in the aircraft.cfg file of the aircraft that give problems, and check if there is a ForceFeedback section.

    If not, that's your problem.
Remedy: look at the aircraft.cfg of the default Cessna 172.
Copy that Forcefeedback section to your aircraft and try again.
It's not optimal, but it works.

Even the default cessna feels like its rolling over a field of molehills and potholes, not a nice smooth piece of concrete. Can it be scaled down in the cfg file?
