>I asked and now know you're talking rubbish. :)
Really bro, quit trying to lie and make yourself look like a know it all...
http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?...2711&mode=full
take a look at the following quote...
To turn my prototype (that currently works with FS2004 and FSX) into a reliable and legal product usable by everyone a few extra steps are required:
* One of Google, MSN Virtual Earth or NASA would have to agree to provide terrain tiles to end users ("the average flightsimming joe"), which may require some extra licensing deals with whoever provides their high resolution satellite data. Alternatively a large FS addon developer would have to step in and license satellite data and install a server infrastructure on their own. This might turn out to be a major cash expense which probably requires a by paid-for access on a subscription basis.

Even in the documentation he is very specific about use of the software could consitute the EULA and TOS for the various services...
So dude quit claiming you emailed the author, you haven't. I'm still looking for the message that has the cease and desist order... It may have been edited out of posts due to legal issues...
Okay, looked further into the original posts and this is what was stated...
"Now I understand that the russian dude got served a nastygram by Google because no-one else is allowed to interface with the Google Earth imagery with a client other than the official Google Earth software. It is simply a licensing restriction imposed by the providers of the sattelite imagery. Bummer!"
"So I am going to write different backend modules for my Samba based tileserver - for example USGS data or maybe I can even switch to Google Maps (not Earth). I can't keep using Google Earth, although it was fun while it lasted "
The cease and desist for samba/gaia of which tileproxy has some base code (from what i understand) can be found here...
