Thinking of a future pc purchase.. w/ question

I'm not going to buy a pc for a while, but I was wondering, what is really better for FSX? The fastest Core 2 Duo or Core 2 Quad processor? When I get a new pc in the next month or so, money really won't be a huge factor, I just want to know which processor is the smartest FSX choice. Oh, and are there any new processors planned by say AMD or Intel, that will be coming out soon that will be better or faster than these core 2 processors? If so maybe I can wait on a new computer.

Before July is out, Intel is going to introduce a new line of Core 2s with faster FSBs as well as big price drops in the other CPUs.

As far as which is best, I've heard it directly from Phil at MS that you should go with a Quad unless you're looking at a Duo with 25% more speed.

That being said, Intel is going to be launching a whole new line of chips towards the end of this year (or so). Don't know much about them just yet or what kind of improvement FSX will see using the new CPUs but they are just around the corner. I'd been waiting long enough, so I just took the plunge and got a Quad myself. I must say that it does a pretty decent job with FSX. I get very flyable FPS everywhere I go. I don't have everything pegged to the right, but I have plenty of eye candy. Can't wait for the DX10 patch.
