Thread: Dynamic settings depending on area?

Default Dynamic settings depending on area?

Based on my first experience with the FSX Demo, and based on what I expect for the full product (see here: http://www.flightsim.com/dc/dcboard....id=25179&page=)

Is there a way to have your display settings in FSX altered AUTOMATICALLY depending on where you're flying?

It would be great that when I'm at a gate, settings are around medium, and when I'm flying high with big iron, settings are set to "high-very high" automatically. This to get reasonable framerates (e.g. 20 is something I can live with) everywhere...

    Thanks for advice,

Not automatically, no. but you can save the display settings into a file, and reload that whenever you want. You might have one called rural, one called big city, and one called urban, just for example (choose whatever names make sense to you), for use in those types of areas.
