multiple aircraft same name

Hi,

My 1st post.
I have FSX & have downloaded some flying boats, but am having problems.
When firing up FSX, & when selecting aircraft I get the following type of message, repeated for five different aircraft:-




ok. How do I fix this please?.

Hi,

If an aircraft is duplicated in any of the folders under the Simobjects folder (Animals, Boats,...)you'll get this message. Make sure you didn't inadvertently copy the Aircraft files into multiple folders.

When I received that message that's what I found. Don't know how I did it.

Worth checking anyway. Good luck.

Even if the aircraft itself isn't duplicated, you can still have that error if there is more than one Title= line in the aircraft.cfg that is an exact match. Conversely, you can have duplicate copies (or almost, if you wish, with minor mods) in which the Title= line is different and the error won't occur.
