I am new to this forum and have had FSX for a couple of months.
I am having some strange problems with the program, and when I got in touch with Microsoft they wanted me to start making registry changes to my computer. BUT - the computer is brand new. Its an HP with a dual core processor that is made for gaming. I got in touch with Hp and they checked out the settings and they were all fine. They said that the issue was with the game not the computer. Just in case I made sure that I updated the video card, which they said wa a wise move. So here are the problems:

1. When I am flying the Airbus and I have been flying for an hour or more the aircraft graphics suddenly disappear - the plane is black and all you can see are the lights on the wing flashing. It seems to happen more when I am using a dawn scenario.

2. The black plane issue also happens when I have saved a flight and reload it. This is for all planes, not just the airbus.

3. When I am in a flight and I want to see other aircraft in the area, and I click on one of the planes the computer magically powers down, w/o me doing a thing!

I am hoping that this forum will help me solve these problems much quicker than Microsoft - all I got from them were very complicated emails to make changes to a brand new computer that the manufacturer says should not be done. Its very frustrating to not be able to do my goal of transatlantic flights as I cannot save the flights sucessfully.
