Default Application error - anyone else getting this?

Lately, I've been getting an application error that basically says an instruction is trying to reference a memory location but can't. FSX then crashes. Has anyone else been getting this? And if so, has anyone fixed it?

    Hi,

    I had the same problem.

While trying to get better performance I added memory from a computer I wasn't using. The problem occured immediately after this.

Apparently I had faster memory in Bank "0" than in "1".

I switched them and the problem disappeared.

I imagine there are any number of things that could be causing your problem but just in case...

    Good luck!

I had this start to happen. Turns out I had a defective memory stick.
You can check memory with a freeware memory checker, which creates a bootable disk, and will check all installed memory, and indicate failures.

One more (possible) cause: Having FSUIPC4 installed without having choosen the default settings on the visibility tab.

    Hope this helps,
