Hey people.....I've done the change to default.bak, didn't like it and went to change it back, yep, I cant recall exactly what the file was initially, of course I didn't save the file before I changed it....was i t default., default.xml, default on it's own.?

I cant get trees in towns, they may have gone for good....or, were there no tree's in towns in the first place, I cant remember.....

Personally with fsx, I like to fly rural only, fr's are acceptable, 15-30, and for long haul, major airports I fly fs9!

I love the new planes, esp the goose, love flying round Alaska, Carribean, in that thing!

just remove the ".bak " extention that you added.

Hi Chris

It's in the Autogen folder and the original file name was default.spb
I changed mine back as well. Frame rates are lower but I prefer the visual flying.

Oh for heaven's sake! You changed 'default.xml' to 'default.bak' and now YOU need to change it back to 'default.xml'. What 'full stop' are you talking about? Your brain? (heehee). :-)

Hint: it is NOT default.spb. Check again. It's default.xml. LOOK! THINK! Then post. The post topic is/was 'default.xml'. Right? Right!

It should be default.xml, mine is wrong.
I've done so many changes trying all the recomended tweaks to improve things, then change back when I'm not happy with them that I renamed mine wrong.
So yes you are right napamule.

Chris and Don,
I understand. (Ask me how I know this stuff). I've also been renaming everyting, to get 5 fps more. Plus half-trees, half-clouds, half auto gen, etc. Sorry about my brashness. But it was more tongue-in-cheek. I inject dry humor in my posts sometimes, to soak up the tears from all the crying-heehee). Hang in there.
