Figuring out what to upgrade

Well my 2004 vintage HP Pavilion just isn’t quite up to par with FSX. The only problem is I am not sure what to upgrade. FSX loads pretty slowly but the biggest problem is the graphics. When the program starts up they are set very low, if I raise them they just snap back. I am assuming that this is a graphics card issue, if it isn’t please advise me before I go buy one. As for the slowness I am not sure if I need new processor or RAM. Here are my specs:

2.8 gig Pentium 4
512MB RAM
64MB graphics card (not sure of the speed)

Hi.While i am not a computer tech.I do know you need more RAM,and a much better video card.2 gigs of ram,and at least a 256 meg video card.512 video card if possible.Make sure you have a big enough power supply for the new video card also.

I agree you need at least 1GB of ram but really 2GB would be good. Also at least a 256MB gramodern graphics card, but recommend a 512MB card. Just realize your not going to get full performance out of this sim with the upgrade, so if your expectation is to turn everything up, it's not going to happen yet.
